Rescue Dogs & Puppies

This is Jester and he is looking for his forever family!

Jester is currently located in Columbia, Missouri and will be moving to Omaha, Nebraska if his perfect forever home is not found quickly.

Jester is a handsome 7 year old working line male German Shepherd. He has OFA good hips and normal elbows and is DM clear. He is titled to an IPO1, and has been neutered. He is up to date on all core vaccinations. He does currently have an ear infection and does get them recurrently, possibly due to food sensitivities which has not been fully determined. He may need continued care for these allergies and/or ear infections, and he may not--it's too early to say. Currently Jester is on a chicken-based diet and doing well, and the ear infection is subsiding with minimal treatment. He is overweight but should lose the weight quickly on a diet, as he's fairly active.

He has lived with children, small dogs, and large female dogs in the past with zero issues. We haven't pressed our luck, but he will not be placed in homes with other large male dogs or with cats--Jester deserves his next home to last forever, so we won't be taking any risks.

Jester is well trained, well mannered, and could easily get back into low-level sport. He enjoys working and also enjoys hanging out with his people. If you play fetch with him, you've made a friend for life. He has a clear head and a stable temperament and is really just a lovely older gent needing a cushy place to land for his golden years.

Jester is not from my breeding program or my lines. His pedigree is linked below, and yes, his breeder has been contacted, and unfortunately declined to take him back.
